The Bar Mitzvah is the fifth episode in Season 2 of The Naked Brothers Band.
Summary[]
While posing for an ice sculpture, Cooper's explained that it is for his Bar Mitzvah, a day when a 13-year old Jewish boy celebrates becoming a man. He invited all of the band to attend his Bar Mitzvah celebration and trusted Nat to say good things about him in a video tribute. Nat promised after he returned from his dentist appointment. Meanwhile, Alex meets Mitchie Brusco, a famous skateboarder who looks remarkably like him. Inspired by one of Cooper's bible stories and The Parent Trap, the two decide to switch identities and lives. Mitchie tried to play the drums, but he turned out to be a terrible drummer. Alex thought he could be a good skateboarder, but Qaasim reminded him he doesn't know how to skateboard other than in a video game. Mitchie agreed to attend the bar mitzvah as Alex to meet single girls, while Alex disguised as Mitchie goes with Juanita to a skateboard competition to meet Tony Hawk. Nat comes back from the dentist under the effect of laughing gas. He kept his promise to do Cooper's video tribute but was pleaded not to say anything in the video that could get Cooper in trouble. The Bar Mitzvah began and Cooper was disappointed that his mother hired a tango band instead of a traditional band. Patty Scoggins revealed she attended Cooper's celebration and she liked tango. But things went sour when Cooper's video tribute started and his family all said embarrassing things about him. When it was Nat's turn, Nat under the influence of laughing gas revealed all of Cooper's misdeeds such as microwaving his father's stamp collection and feeding popcorn to his sister's pet tortoise. Cooper's sister was enraged from hearing Cooper was responsible for the death of her tortoise and she retaliated by breaking Cooper's ice sculpture and smooshing his face into the torah cake. This led to mass chaos amongst the guests and the tango band leaving. Nat felt bad that he ruined Cooper's Bar Mitzvah and wanted to make it up to him by performing a song for the guests. But before he could, he learned that Alex was actually Mitchie. Because Mitchie was not a drummer, he demanded to know where Alex was. Meanwhile, things in turn were not going well for Alex. Alex taunted Tony Hawks and challenged him to a skateboard competition despite Juanita warning him that he cannot pull off those tricks. Alex ended up having to go through with the challenge to avoid embarrassing himself. Luckily, Nat and Mitchie got the idea to fake leg injuries to switch back to their respective identities. Mitchie continued the skateboard competition while Alex returned to the band in order to play a new song for Cooper and save his Bar Mitzvah.
