Qaasim Asani Malik Seawright-Middleton (or simply Qaasim Middleton) was born on January 13, 1995 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. He is a musician and retired actor, known for The Naked Brothers Band (2007), The Music In Me (2006), and recently, the 14th season of American Idol (2015).
Personal life
Middleton was born in January of 1995 to actress/singer-songwriter Toni Seawright and and actor/musician-songwriter Keith Middleton. He has previously studied at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and The New School.
Career
His acting career began by starring as himself in the HBO family special The Music In Me (2006). He then starred in The Naked Brothers Band TV series as himself, replacing Josh and Cole as the lead guitarist of the band from 2007 to 2009.
After the TV show ended, he became a finalist in the 14th season of American Idol (2015).
He is currently the founder and CEO of a music company called Syphe Entertainment as shown in his Linkedin profile.
